TaskAlarm — Terms of Service
Last updated: June 16, 2026
Welcome to TaskAlarm. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TaskAlarm Google Workspace add-on ("the Service"). By installing or using TaskAlarm, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
TaskAlarm is a Google Workspace add-on that sends email reminders for your Google Tasks deadlines. You choose an alert time for a task, and TaskAlarm emails you when that time arrives. The free tier supports up to 5 active alarms. TaskAlarm Pro removes that limit.
Google Tasks™ is a trademark of Google LLC. TaskAlarm is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
You need a Google account to use TaskAlarm. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your account secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service.
3. Pro Subscriptions and Billing
TaskAlarm Pro is a paid subscription billed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel. Pricing is shown at checkout.
Your Pro access is tied to the email address used at checkout. That email must match the Google account where you use TaskAlarm for your license to be recognized. If the addresses differ, your account may continue to show as free.
You may cancel at any time. To cancel, email us at support@taskalarm.app and we will process the cancellation, or use the billing link in your Stripe receipt. After cancellation, Pro features remain active through the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free tier. Payments already made are non-refundable except where required by law.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to circumvent the free-tier limits, reverse-engineer the licensing system, disrupt the Service, or use it in violation of any applicable law.
5. Service Availability
TaskAlarm is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Reminder delivery depends on Google Apps Script execution, Google Tasks data, and email delivery, none of which we can guarantee with perfect reliability. We do not warrant that every reminder will be delivered on time or at all, and you should not rely on TaskAlarm as the sole safeguard for time-critical obligations.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaskAlarm and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any missed deadline, lost data, or loss arising from a reminder that was delayed, duplicated, or not delivered. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.
7. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Termination
You may stop using TaskAlarm at any time by uninstalling the add-on. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.
