Getting Started

After installing TaskAlarm, open it from the add-on panel in Google Tasks or Gmail. Pick a task with a due date, choose the time of day you want to be alerted, and save. TaskAlarm emails you when that alert time arrives.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do reminders work? You set an alert time for a task, and TaskAlarm sends you an email at that time. Because Google Tasks only stores a due date (not a time of day), TaskAlarm lets you pick the exact alert time yourself.

Why didn't I get a reminder? A few common causes: the task had no due date, the alert time hasn't arrived yet, or the reminder email landed in spam. Check your spam folder and mark TaskAlarm as "not spam" so future alerts arrive in your inbox.

How many reminders can I set? The free tier supports up to 5 active alarms. TaskAlarm Pro removes the limit so you can set reminders on as many tasks as you like.

I paid for Pro but my account still shows as free. Why? Pro access is matched by email address. The email you used at Stripe checkout must be the same as the Google account where you use TaskAlarm. If they don't match, the license won't be recognized. Email us at support@taskalarm.app with both addresses and we'll sort it out.

How do I cancel Pro? Email support@taskalarm.app and we'll process your cancellation, or use the billing-management link in your Stripe receipt. Your Pro features stay active through the end of your current billing period, then your account returns to the free tier.

Does TaskAlarm see my task contents? TaskAlarm reads your Google Tasks to know what's due and when, and stores your chosen alert times. For Pro licensing, it checks your email address against our license records. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what data is used and why.

Which devices does TaskAlarm work on? Reminders are delivered by email, so they reach you anywhere you check your inbox — phone, tablet, or desktop. No app install beyond the Google Workspace add-on is required.
